Brighton A Day
Foundation

Industry: Non-Profit

Responsibilities:

  • Create an informative, responsive website for a newly established non-profit
  • Design a site with a childlike feel to it in honor of the foundations namesake, Brighton
  • Create a form to accept charitable donations
  • Create an online store where the foundation could sell some of their products

Web address: www.brightonaday.org

Building a website for The Brighton A Day Foundation was a touching experience. I was impressed by the goals of the Foundation and touched by the story of Brighton and her family’s ability to turn her passing into a force for good. Because the Foundation is in honor of a child, it was a unique and fun experience being able to design in a more childlike, youthful manner than I normally do. The Foundation wanted the site design to not only embody their purpose but to also be able to accept charitable donations and sell some of their products.

After building the home page, I created a donation form where the Foundation could accept charitable donations via Paypal. I then built a small, online store so they could sell T-shirts, hats, etc and integrated this with their Paypal account. It truly was a pleasure creating this site and definitely one worth visiting at www.brightonaday.org.
